Techne Agency Ltd (“technē”, “we”, “us”), company no. 15037789, with its registered office at 9 Maclaren House, 7 Warwick Lane, London, W14 8DR, United Kingdom, is established in the United Kingdom and acts as the data controller for the free social media audit tool available at audit.techne.agency (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Service, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the applicable data protection laws — including the UK GDPR, the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“UAE PDPL”), and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law, promulgated by Royal Decree No. M/19 and supervised by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (“SDAIA”).

Before your information is submitted through our lead form, we ask you to tick an un-checked box stating that you agree to our Terms of Use and consent to the processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. By ticking that box and submitting the form, you give us your explicit consent to collect and process your personal data for the purposes described below. Consent is optional — you may use the scanner without submitting the form — and you may withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).

Visitors located in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are additionally asked for cookie consent through a banner before any optional (analytics or ad measurement) cookies are used. Consent is requested per category, nothing is pre-ticked, and you may accept, reject, or manage your choices — and change them at any time through the cookie settings button on the site. Each decision is recorded with a timestamp.

Data you give us:

Your name, business email address, phone number (optional), the social media handle you ask us to scan, your advertising budget range, and the social platform you choose.

Data generated by the audit:

Publicly available metrics of the profile you scan (follower counts, post types, engagement figures) and the generated report. We do not access private data, direct messages, or anything behind a login.

Data collected automatically:

Pages visited, interactions with the tool, and approximate device information collected through Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity for measurement and improvement purposes.

To generate and deliver your free audit report; to follow up with marketing and insights related to our services (only where you have shared your contact details and consented); to measure the performance of our advertising; and to improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.

Your data is first transferred to our base in the United Kingdom, where Techne Agency Ltd acts as the data controller. It is then processed by trusted third-party processors that help us operate the Service. These include our hosting and edge platform (Vercel), report storage (Upstash Redis), our CRM (HubSpot), our email platform (Brevo), analytics and advertising providers (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity), a public social data provider (ScrapeCreators) used to retrieve the public metrics of the profile you scan, and AI processing providers (Google Gemini, DeepSeek) used to generate parts of your report from your social metrics.

These processors may store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. By ticking the consent box on our form, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to this transfer and processing outside your country of residence. International transfers are protected by the safeguards in our processors' standard terms (including standard contractual clauses), and we only share the data necessary for each processor to perform its function. We use cookies and similar browser storage to measure how the Service is used and to attribute conversions to our advertising. Visitors from the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can accept, reject, or manage these optional cookies per category through the consent banner — and change their choice at any time via the cookie settings button on the site. Strictly necessary storage (which keeps your report working) is always on and never used for tracking.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time, or change your consent choices through the cookie settings button on the site — doing so does not prevent the audit from working. Play counts shown in reports are organic only; advertising views are never included in your audit data.

Under the applicable data protection laws — including the UK GDPR, the UAE PDPL and the Saudi PDPL — you have the right to:

• request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access);
• request correction of inaccurate data (right to rectification);
• request complete deletion of your data (right to be forgotten);
• object to or restrict processing, and withdraw your consent at any time;
• receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@techne.agency. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Deleting your data ends our processing of it but does not affect processing that already happened while your consent was in place.

Generated reports are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted. Lead contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer relevant to our business relationship. Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
